For the past two years, t-Magazine has been a small, independent grassroots project for tea culture, originally available solely in German. Now, it extends its reach to a global audience, capturing the essence of Europe's vibrant tea scene in its first international edition in English. Wanderlustea is thrilled to announce our sponsorship and collaboration with t-Magazine on its inaugural international edition, a milestone in the world of tea enthusiasts.

Let's introduce you to the masterminds behind t-Magazine, starting with Olaf Tarmas, a journalist and tea enthusiast whose profound love for tea ignited the inception of this remarkable publication. Olaf's journey with tea began at a young age when, during his studies, he immersed himself in the world of tea while working at a local tea shop in Hamburg. His true revelation came in 2011 during a research expedition to Taiwan, where he was introduced to the intricacies of Chinese tea culture. Following explorations along the Black Sea, in Laos, and in East Frisia, Olaf's passion for travel, writing, and tea culminated in the founding of his very own tea magazine.
Joining him are Katja Kleinebrecht, the art director and designer, Bertram Weiß as the head of text, Alexander Ludwig as the international project developer, Isabell Aue handling online marketing, and Odile Hain, a talented reportage photographer who traversed to Prague, Amsterdam, and various other locales for the international magazine. This diverse team is bound together by their shared passion for tea and unwavering commitment to excellence. Additionally, we've had the privilege of collaborating with esteemed contributors for the English edition magazine: Marten Verch, representing the German Tea Association and authoring "The Effects of L-Theanine" in this issue; Maria-Bettina Eich, a freelance writer for t-magazine, who journeyed to Paris and Riga for this edition, and eloquently explored tasting a diverse range of jasmine tea; and Lorela Lohan from Wanderlustea.
